Thanks for a GREAT 2025 Season!
August 2025
Well, that’s a wrap for the 2025 fishing season! November marks the beginning of Winter here in Montana, concluding a great fishing season. Every season is different with its’ own little nuances. 2025 started wout with a bang and tons of snow in our mountains. We were excited to have lots of cold, clear water in our creeks and rivers all year long. In February 2025 we had about 120% of our average snow pack. Things were looking very good! Then, April-June started chipping away at our snow-pack with some very warm day. June overall was a super GORGEOUS month with lots of sun, but it continued to melt our snow. By June 20th we were starting to float the Yellowstone as run-off had already subsided. It was strange and we were DEFINITELY worried about wildfires and low, hot rivers in August. We were enjoying the warm June weather, but preparing for the worst later in the summer. July and August came and brought significantly cooler TEMPERATURES than normal! We were blessed with afternoon rain storms that kept things cool, but didn’t muddy up the River. The water was almost record-setting low, but it stayed cool. We had very few summer days where it reached 95 degrees. It was a pretty amazing season. If you came out and fished with us, thanks so much!
July 2025 in YNP!
Yellowstone National Park
This was the first Spring season that the Gardner River below Osprey Falls was open to fish the entire year. The Park updated these regulations at the end of the 2024 season. This created a cool opportunity to fish the Gardner in March and April before our Spring runoff. The Gardner River is one of our favorite Rivers and the early season fishing did not DISAPPOINT! We are looking forward to fishing the Gardner River through the end of 2025 and in Spring 2026!
We saw very low water levels in the Lamar River and Yellowstone River drainages. There were rocks poking out that we never knew were there. Of course, these low water levels were/are concerning but we never experienced Hoot Owl restrictions or anything because the water stayed cool with the weather. The fishing stayed pretty consistent through September… Especially for folks who like to hike! We had an extended Salmonfly season through the Black and Grand Canyons of the Yellowstone. That was a good time! We are excited to get back into the Park in 2026 after (hopefully) a full Winter with lots of snow!

August 2025 Brown Trout!
Thanks so much for making the 2025 season great! We fished with a lot of old friends and a lot of new anglers! We love showing people what YELLOWSTONE Country has to offer! It is the most diverse place to fly-fish in America. Between floating in a raft, floating in a drift boat, and hiking into the backcountry, there are literally tens-of-thousands of miles of rivers, streams, and lakes we have access to. You can be raging down the Boulder river casting big stoneflies one day and the next targeting finicky cutthroats on Slough creek with PMD cripple. This place is awesome! We are excited for the 2026 season and currently taking bookings. Contact us today to get your 2026 trip on the books!
