Our Guided Fly Fishing Trips on the Yellowstone River
Why Choose Yellowstone River Outfitters?
Fully licensed and permitted. We hold a Montana Outfitter License and a Yellowstone National Park Commercial Use Authorization, which means we're legally authorized to guide every water we offer, including inside the park.
Local guides who fish these waters every day. Our guides live in Livingston year-round. They know which side of the river is fishing in a hatch, which spring creek is producing in August, and which park stretch is worth the drive on a given day.
Private trips with one guide per group. Every trip is dedicated to your party, with one guide for one or two anglers. You get focused attention and a personalized day on the water.
Built for every skill level. We've put eight-year-olds on their first fish and helped lifelong anglers land their personal best. The trip we plan with you is shaped around your goals, not a fixed itinerary.
Where We Fish in Paradise Valley and Yellowstone National Park
We guide in one of the most diverse fisheries in the country. The Yellowstone River runs past our front door in Livingston, the spring creeks of Paradise Valley sit just south of town, and Yellowstone National Park is a short drive up the road. Add in private lakes and tributaries like the Boulder River, and there is almost always a good option no matter the season or conditions.
Each water fishes differently and rewards a different kind of day. Explore the waters we guide:
“When we had our first two day fly fishing adventure with Brogan four years ago, we knew it was the trip of a lifetime. We loved it so much we have returned year after year! Brogan is a true professional, a great teacher who provides excellent feedback with his ever positive approach. This always IS the experience of a lifetime. We will be back next year!”
